“To be interesting, be interested.” ― Dale Carnegie,
How to Win Friends and Influence People, has been my favorite read of the year. Most self-help books I’ve read have been good. I will find myself agreeing with everything that has been said, but then once the book is closed and I am in the “real world” I am not thinking about the book or how it could apply to the choices I make.
This book is different.
Through anecdotes and life stories, Dale Carnegie teaches you how to have an impact on the people around you. Whether that is ensuring you remember someones name, listening to people, or just smiling.
I know that all might seem obvious, and in fact, nearly everything in this book IS obvious. But I think that might be part of the reason it is so life changing. Everthing in this book is simple and impactful.
